Overall, this process is carried out with a lot of stages using hard machinery and thermal power, especially coal.
To begin with, a series of conveyors transports the coal passing through the pulveriser that grind the coal into a fine powder prior to burning. After that, the pulverised coal is directed to a large industrial furnace that is surrounded by boiler tubes filled with water. The intense heat from the burning coal heats the water and the boiler tubes and turns into steam. Then, the high temperature of boiler tubes makes the turbine spin. This movement created a flow of electrons, which produces electricity.
After these hard steps, electricity can be stepped up in voltage through the station transformer and sent from the station across the transmission lines. The steam from the turbine then is condensed back to water using cooler and pump back to the boiler to where it is reheated to continue the procedure.
