As an overall trend blueprint describe the reversible process in manufacturing of electricity. In day time forward process of power generation and at night opposite process of collecting water in dam.
First step in generation of electricity is storage of water in high level reservoir dam in which intake open daytime while close in night. What it means that at night further movement of water downward stop. Second step is flow of water to produce light in sunlight while at dark water pumped back for creation of storage again.
In next step water flow to power station where electricity generated. The power station consist of reversible turbine. What it mean at day time operate generator and temporarily keep water in low reservoir. But at night work opposite direction by pumping water to high level reservoir. Eventually, generator supply energy to national grid through power lines.
