The diagram shows the steps involved in the manufacturing process of electricity from geothermal power.
Overall, it is clear that there are five stages in the process, from cold water to the generation of electricity, using the temperature of the geothermal zone.
Firstly, cold water is stored in the storage on the ground, in which it is then pumped straight down to a distance of 4.5 kilometers underground to the injection well. In this place, the direction of water flow is then changed from vertical to horizontal, where the cold water is boiled by hot rocks of the geothermal zone. The heated water then keeps flowing horizontally to the production well, where it is then pumped up the same distance before to a condenser. In this unit, the liquid water is then converted to the air form, known as steam. The steam activates the turbine, causing it to turn over, simultaneously activating the electric generator, which creates electricity ready to use.
