Overall, the process of recycling glass involves six key steps, starting with collection of waste glass products for recycling and ending with redistribution of the recycled glass in the market for usage.
At first, glass bottles for recycle is collected in recycle bins, which is then transported to a treatement plant for further processing. In the treatement plant, the collected glass is washed and sterilized, prior to processing it any further for recycle. The sterilized glass bottles are then crushed and heated till its melting temeperature, to form molten glass.
The molten glass,obtained from melting sterilized glass, can then be used to mould newer glass vessels in a moulding machine. Finally, the glass products made from the recycled glass is distributed throughout the market for sales as well as finds its use for bottling purpose in various industries. These glass bottles after use are again disposed in the recycle bins, which starts over the process of recycling.
