The diagram below shows how solar panels can be used to provide electricity for domestic use
The picture illustrates how solar panels work to produce electricity for the use of domestic household.
In general, its is clear that there are five stages in this process, beginning with the capture of the energy from sunlight. The two final stages show how the exceed energy will be processed to support the external power supply.
At the first stage, Solar panels on the roof absorbs energy from the sun and turn it into DC current. Next, this current is passed to an inverter, which changes the DC current to AC current and controls the electricity and production. At the third stage, electricity is eventually supplied to your house via electrical grid.
At stage 4 shown in the diagram, Utility meter is responsible for sending back any extra solar energy power into the grid. Finally, if the solar panels are unable of unable to produce the sufficient electricity, the additional electricity will be sent to household from the utility grid.
