The diagram below shows how solar panels can be used to provide electricity for domestic use.

Provided is a pictorial diagram illustrating the utilisation of solar panels in households.

What stands out from the graph is that there are 5 distinct stages that solar waves go through before being used as an electricity at home. Whilst, initial 3 steps are for generation and transmission of electricity into the house, last 2 steps describe how energy is stored and sent back when needed.

Process begins when sun waves reach the roof of the house, where they are turned into DC currents. This is followed by conversation of DC currents into AC currents with the use of inverter. Inverter is connected to electrical panel that provides energy to the house when needed.

At the first stage shown in the diagram, utility meter calculates the amount of necessary energy and transmits extra ones to the utility grid. Finally, if the electricity produced by solar panels runs out, stored energy will flow back into home through utility meter.
