The process illustrated provides information about the sugar production from sugar cane.
It is clear that it takes seven steps to produce sugar from the plant of sugar cane. It begins by growing the sugar cane plants and ends after drying and cooling the sugar.
In the first step of the production, sugar canes are grown for 12-18 months. Then, the grown plants can be harvested either by hand or by specific machines. In the next step, the harvested sugar canes are crushed to produce juice.
Consequently, the juice passes through limestone filter to get purified. The juice becomes syrup when it is heated in an evaporator. Next, in order to separate sugar crystals out of the syrup, it is centrifuged. In the final stage of sugar manufacturing process, the centrifuged sugar crystals are drought and cooled to produce the end product - sugar.
