The given diagram illustrates the manufacturing process of making sugar from sugar cane.
Overall, it can be seen that there are 7 steps in this procedure which can be divided into 2 main stages, beginning with growing sugar canes for 12-18 months and ending with drying and cooling the sugar.
At the first step of the progress, the sugar canes are planted and grown for 12 to 18 months. After that, they can be harvested from two ways: the farmer will cut down the sugar canes by a sickle or a special tractor will cut them down and collect them. By both ways, the collected sugar canes will be delivered into a special machine and it will crush the collected sugar canes and turn them into juice.
Afterwards, the juice from the crushing machine will be poured into a limestone filter in order to purify it. Following this, the purified juice will be heated in a evaporator and the purified juice after that will become syrup. Subsequently, a centrifuge will be used in order to separate sugar crystals from syrup. Finally, sugar will be put in a huge container to dry and cool.
