The given picture depicts the method of producing carbonated beverages.
As can be seen from the flow chart, there are totally 5 stages in the process of manufacturing carbonated drinks, beginning with cleaning raw water and ending with delivering the finished products to a supermarket.
At the initial stage of the process, raw water is collected and then filtered to remove any impurities. Next, the cleaned water flows into a container, where it is softened with chemicals, before being pumped into electric heaters. After passing through cooling pipes, the resulting water is transferred to a tank, which contains a host of carbon dioxide. After this step, the water becomes carbonated.
The following stage of the process is to pump the carbonated water into a mixing tank. In this tank, the water is mixed with colouring, syrup and flavour. The mixture then undergoes a process called filtration before being either bottled or canned. Finally, these bottles and cans of fizzy drinks are packaged and then distributed to a supermarket for sales.
