In order to recycle glass bottles, one raw material (plastic waste) is processed in three main stages, beginning with the collection of plastic products and ending with newly recycled products being ready for sales in the supermarket.
The first stage of making recycled glass bottles involves storing bottles made of plastic in a collection point, which is then transported to a cleaning plant by trucks. In the cleaning plant, the collected bottles are washed carefully with high pressure water to eliminate dust clinging to the bottles and is divided into three kinds according to colours (clear, green and brown).
The clean bottles are transported to a recycling plant, where they are melted in a special glass furmance into liquid form. The recycled liquid glass and new liquid glass are then moulded to form new glass bottles. The final stage is that the glass bottles are ready for being used and sent to supermarkets, where they are purchased and bought by customers.
