The diagram below shows the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.
The mentioned diagrams illustrate the different phases and tools used in the manufacture of cement as well as way in which cement is used to generate concrete for construction purposes.
Overall, as is represented by the diagrams the cement production is a bit quite long process which involves more than five stages whereas generation of concrete is short process with only three steps as compared to cement generation.
Firstly, in cement generation limestone and clay is crushed together in a crusher which produces powder as its output. Secondly , the powder is passed in the mixer then it is further supplied in the rotating heater where the powder is heated. Thirdly, the output from heater is grinded in the grinder which produces cement as a result. Finally, at last stage cement is packed on bags.
To begin with cement production, in the beginning, the small percentage of cement (15%) and water (10%) is supplied to concrete mixer. In addition to this, 25% of sand and 50% of gravel is further added to concrete mixer. Finally, ingredients are mixed and as a result concrete is produced .
