The diagrams illustrate the phases and equipments in which cement is manufactured and the way concrete is created for construction by using cement.
Overall, there are six main steps in the manufacture of cement; meanwhile, the production of concrete requires two stages, starting from adding some ingredients and ending at mixing them altogether.
The cement-making process begins when the amounts of limestone and clay put in a crusher to turn into powder. The following steps involve mixing them before being channelled to a rotating heater. After heating, the resulting mixture was ground in a grinder to create cement and the final product is wrapped into several bags for further purposes.
Regarding the concrete production, it requires four raw ingredients. The gravel accounts for 50%, the highest amount, followed by the figures for sand, water and cement, recored at 25%, 15% and 10% respectively. Finally, all the selected materials are blended in a rotating machine called concrete mixer to make concrete for construction works.
