The diagram below shows the steps of processing cocoa beans.
The given diagram details the step by step procedure showing how cocoa beans can be processed into various end products to be consumed by the consumer. The entire cycle passes through three major steps as discussed below.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the whole industrial process which starts with the collection of beans undergoes pressing, and refining to create the consumable products.
According to the given illustration, first of all, the whole cocoa beans collected by farmers are transported to the processing unit, where the drying process takes place. Next, a liquid consistency of cocoa beans is formed by pressing the dried shells. Subsequently, the cocoa liquor formed in the previous step gets ready for two different treatments: further pressing and refining.
In the former process, cocoa liquor is pressed further into a solid cake, which is then converted into consumable cocoa powder under the grinding machine, while a part of the cake is made into an industrial drink. In the latter process, industrial chocolate is mixed with sugar before it gets processed into desired products. Finally, the finished chocolate product is supplied to the consumer market.
