This flow chart illustrates the process in which leather products are manufactured from natural materials.
Overall, it is clear that six distinct stages are shown on this process beginning with leaving animals’ skin to dry and ending with displaying leather products to the public.
Initially, the primitive skin of the animal must be completely dried in order to be transferred to the factory. There, it will be washed in a mixture contains lime water, then left there to be soaked. Next, it goes through a flattening machine to remove any impurities.
At this stage, the skin is fully flattened and ready to be soaked once more. Having completed all these stages, it goes under Tannin phase where the skin sinks in water mixed with vegetable matter. Eventually, the leather is ready to be polished and moved to malls and outlet stores in order to be sold for customers.
