The flowchart illustrates the labeling process of shellfish and sending them to market all over the world. The process is initiated with the fishing stage, which is monitored automatically through a complex monitoring system from the center of Santiago. This means that all boats are connected to GPS systems and find their locations and get important data through satellite information.
After fishing using the advanced methods, there are three main stages beginning with certifying catch by putting barcode labels, following by processing the product in factories and finishing with exporting the final product to the local and international market.
In the first stage, after catching shellfish a unique barcode label is generated for them. This is the stage of certifying catch in a labeling system. Once this is done; the product is processed through a shellfish processing plant. Finally, the processed product is transported by different modes of transport to the market.
