The diagrams below show the changes that have taken place at Queen Mary Hospital since
its construction in 1960.
The diagrams illustrate how Queen Mary Hospital has changed since 1950 when It was built.
In 1960, the hospital was a building located along the main road and to the right of a shopping center. There was a car park which was located right behind the hospital building to the right of some farmland.
Twenty years later in 1980, the shopping center was demolished and replaced by a cancer center , as well as a new pharmacy. The farmland was also converted into a new nursing school, but the hospital and car park remained unchanged.
In the last year, 2000, The cancer center was extended, as a result of which the land previously allocated to the nursing school was added to it.Consequently, the car park was divited into two buildings so that It turned into a smaller car park and nursing school.
Overall, the area witnessed considerable changes and more medical facilities have been opened up over the years.
