The diagram illustrates the significant changes occurred in the seaside town of seaville over a period of 30 years.
Overall, it can be seen that the village has turned into a permenent town from a holiday settlement during the 30 year period. The infrastructure and amenities of the village have also been improved.
To begin, in 1980 seaville was a small town attracting only a few tourists who were accomodated in the holiday cottages. To the northwest there was a Marsh and there was a woodland to the north of the town. The eastbank was unspoilt. Besides the beach the town only offered a tea room.
However, by 2010 the village has grown dramatically. The Marsh had been cleared and the cottages were removed to build permenent houses. Retirement villages had been built to west of the main road. New Holiday cottages had been constructed on the east Bank to cater tourists. The woodland had been cleared and supplanted by a new golf course. Similarly, a boat club had been built on the west Bank and a new road had been built to access the east bank. On the other hand, the town has preserved the original hotel.
