The diagram explains the steps and tools needed to make cement and in which way cement is used in order to produce concrete for building.

Overall, cement production consists of five stages, beginning with the raw materials and ending up with the packaging of cement in bags. Once cement is made, it forms concrete together with water and some aggregates.

First of all, the crusher presses raw limestone and clay producing a fine powder, which is secondly put in a mixer where lastly is beaten. In the next step, the mixture is transferred into a rotating heater and made spin while heat is supplied. After that, the melted pulp is poured on the grinder and then is rubbed leading to the desired product. Finally, cement is collected and packed up in large bags.

As concerned to concrete-making process, four substances at different percentages serve as starting materials. In fact, cement, water, sand and gravel (small stones) are added in a mixer according to 15, 10, 25 and 50 percent of the composition respectively. Subsequently, they are mixed in the concrete container where the composite material is made.
