Essay topics:

the diagrams show the differences in the consumption of water for agricultural, industrial and household sectors in those six areas.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant

The pie charts compare the proportion of water which is consumed by different sectors in six different regions.

It can be seen from the graphs that the largest amount of water is used for agriculture in the majority of areas, among which Central Asia’s figure clearly ranks first (88%), closely followed by that of Africa, at 84%, whilst the agricultural consumption of South East Asia is 10% higher than that of South America, with 81% and 71% respectively. It is also interesting to note that industrial use occupies the lowest proportion in those regions except South East Asia, where the smallest amount of water is consumed by the domestic sector, making up 7%, similar to that of Central Asia.

However, as for North America and Europe, the water in these two regions is mainly used for industrial purposes, which 48% and 53% separately, preceding their agricultural consumption (39% and 32%), whilst the household use of those areas clearly comes last, accounting for 13% and 15% each.
