Exercise 1 NUMBER OF INDIAN RESTAURANTS IN THE UK

We can see from the chart, the number of Indian restaurants increased rapidly from 1960 to 2015. In 1960 there were only about 500 Indian restaurants in the UK, but in 2015 the number of Indian restaurants increased. nearly 10,000. From 1960 to 2009, the number of Indian restaurants kept increasing. And increased fastest from 1990 to 1997 from about 5000 restaurants in 1990, and reached more than 7,000 in 1997. Besides this number decreased slightly from 2009 to 2011 and increased again. again in the next 4 years.
In general, the number of Indian restaurants tends to increase but not evenly between the years.
