This bar graph illustrates the number of students who chose eight different subjects at university in 2005. It shows the difference between male and female subject choices.
Observing from the chart, we can see that there is a clear difference in the numbers collected from the selection of subjects of men and women.
Social Science is the most favorite subject of female university students, with nearly 25,000 students choosing it. Languages also attract more girls than boys and come in second place on the girl's chart for nearly 20,000 students. Meanwhile, the number of men participating in this subject is the lowest, accounting for only about 3 thousand. But the percentage of men choosing Science was twice as high, around 23,000 and 11,000 respectively. In addition, there are almost ten thousand men involved in Mathematics, while women have less than 5,000 students interested in Mathematics. And we can also see that the number of men and women in Humanities is the same, accounting for more than 10 thousand votes.
