These two diagrams of Felixstone represent the development that has taken place over the course of 34 years from 1967 to 2001. These two maps include detailed information about the infrastructure and amenities in these two years.
At first glance, it is evident that the northwestern quadrant of the coastal town of Felixstone remains the same over the course of the given years. However, the quadrant to the east of high street and south of the main road undergo significant changes in services and construction.
In greater detail, the golf course and shops in the northwest remain untouched, however, the farmland and shops in the northeast are replaced by apartments and a resort which includes a swimming pool and two tennis courts. Furthermore, the southwest of the town was upgraded with the addition of a large parking lot to the hotel and some wind turbines along the beach, as well as the establishment of a public beach. Similarly, to the northwest, the southwest of Felixstone underwent major transformation, the pier, marina and fish market was replaced by a large private beach. In summary, it can be inffered that Felixstone has transformed over these 34 years from an agricultural and fishing town to more of a tourist center.
