According to the graph, it is manifest that the water used in farming was the maximum amount among other ways of water consumption during this century worldwide. The agriculture used almost 500 km3 sources of water in 1900 and pursued an upward trend up to 2000 and stood on over 3000 km3, while industry and domestic used insignificant amount of water in 1900. They had a rise gradually until 2000, although industry sector had a noticeable growth after 1940 and account for near 1000 km3.
On the other hand, the table revealed that Brazil by large population of 176 million took advantage of 26500 km2 with regard to watering the farmland and 359 m2 water per person consumed in the year 2000. On the flip side, Democratic Republic of Congo with the population of just 5.2 million benefited 100 km2 water with respect to farmland irritation and 8 m3 per person ware consumption in the same year.
To sum up, it is distinctively determined that agriculture sector had a boom in using global water, while industry and household water use encountered a slight rise until 2000.
