The pie chart compares the consumption of water around the world, and the table shows how much water was used in Brazil and the Congo.

It is clear from the line chart that water was used for agriculture the most in all of the years. Additionally, Brazillians consumed significantly more water than people in the Congo did.
In 1990, the amount of water used for agriculture was highest, at around 500 km3, while the figures for industrial and domestic uses stood at 100 km3. Over the next 100 years, there was a gradual increase in the amount of water consumed for agriculture to 3,000 km3, and the figure for industry and domesticity also rose to approximately 1,000 and 500 km3 respectively.

In 2000, 176 milliion people lived in Brazil, which was significantly higher than the population in the Congo. The amount of irrigated land in Brazil was 26,500 km2, compared to 100 km2 in the Congo. Finally, each person in Brazil used 359 m3 of water, while there were only 8 m3 consumped in the Congo.
