The provided line chart depicts the mean monthly temperatures for three large metropolises. The table contains the data on the total number of sunny hours per year, for these same cities.
Overall, it is noticeable that the mean monthly values in London and New York follow the similar pattern, while Sydney has significantly different trajectory of this measure. London has roughly two times less sunshine per year than the other two cities.
The closer look at the line graph reveals that Sydney starts and finishes the year at around 25 degrees Celsius. The first half of the year brings steady decrease in the mean monthly temperature, which bottoms in mid-July at some 15 degrees Celsius. Afterwards, the mean temperature goes up again, before reaching 25 degrees Celsius in December. This city has the second largest number of the sunny hours per year (2.473).
London and New York share typical four-season patterns, with low average temperatures of under 15 degrees Celsius from November until March. Unlike Sydney, these cities record the highest temperatures in July, however it is noticeable that New York has consistently higher averages than London. In addition, New York has twice as many sunny hours as London, topping even Sydney in this category.
