The graph illustrates the consumption of energy from 1980 to 2019, and projected consumption to 2030.
According to the given data, petrol and oil are the dominant fuel sources through the period, with 35q units used in 1980, rising to 41q units in 2019. Despite some initial fluctuation, from 1995 there was a steady increase. this is predicted to continue, reaching 47q in 2030.
In 1980, the consumption of energy natural gas and coal was nearly similar, about 20q and 16q respectively. From 1985 to 2019, gas showed an initial fall, while coal gradually increased. They finally ended up at 30q and 23q in 2030.
At the same time, energy from nuclear, hydro and solar/wind power were equal at only 4q. In 1995, nuclear rose by 5q, while other energy sources remained constant at 3q. after slight increases, hydropower fell back to 1980 figure. It is expected to maintain this level until 2030, while the others will increase slightly after 2025.
