The line graph shows information about how many cars owned by British families from 1971 and 2007.
Overally, it is obvious that there was an increase trend in terms of car possession. The figure for the people who had two cars rose dramatically in comparison with those without cars.
In 1971, people who had no car making up around 48 % and those owned one car accounting for nearly 45 %. Both showed a similar trend over the period shown. In 2007, the former plummetted at more or less 25 %. The latter remained almost unchange and reduced just over 1% from roughly 45% in 1971 to nearly 44% in 2007.
The percentage of those had two cars saw the most significant growth, rising from about 7% to over 25%. Those owned three or more cars constituted just a tiny proportion and then went up at approximately 0,6%.
