The line graph illustrates the proportion of how much population living in cities in 4 countries Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia between 1970 and 2020, with predictions for 2030 and 2040.
Overall, the percentage of population in 4 countries which are living in cities soared throughout 8 years, with the percentage of city's resident in Malaysia had by far highest in the final year. It's can be seen that in the year 2030 and 2040, the prediction of Thailand's proportion was lowest.
Between 1970 and 1990, the share of Philippines and Thailand marginally grew, from about 30% to around 50% and roughly 20% to nearly 43%, followed by a fluctuation. Then in the year 2020, the percentage of the two countries had a gradual increases On the other hand, the proportion of Malaysia and Indonesia started at exactly 30% to 45% and 15% to around 24%, after which they're saw soars toward the end of period.
The predictions of 4 countries in 2030 and 2040 were a moderate rise. Meanwhile, the share of Malaysia was predicted to hit a peak at around 85%, which had by far the highest of all countries.
