The given bar graph compares the participation of Australian boys and girls in various sports outside school hours in 2014.
Overall, it is seen from the graph that the majority of boys football sports in 2014 while, girls choose netball sports in 2014.
Almost 20% of boys participate in football sports outside the school hours and only 2% participate in netball sports. In contrast, a very high percentage of girls participate in netball sports with approximately 18% and the least percentage of girls participate in football sports with around 4%. It is interesting to note that only 5% of boys and girls did not participate in any sports.
In terms of swimming, girls were more participants than boys at around 16% and 13% respectively. In basketball sports, seen opposing trends compare to swimming sports with around 16% of boys participate and girls at just under 16%.
