The line graph illustrates how much money had spent on books in Germany, France, Italy, and Austria from 1995 to 2005.
In the first glance, it was noticeable that every country had shown fluctuation. Among the four, we knew that Germany had spent the most, which was from 80 million dollars in 1995 to around 95 million dollars in 2005. Citizens in Austria had spent the least from 1995 but had suddenly increased to the third highest in 2003. Not to mention, it almost surpassed France. Since 1995, the amount of money for spending on books in Austria had risen and steadily remained. Moreover, it had rapidly surged from 40 million in 2001 to 71 million in 2005.
In addition, people in France and Italy who spent on books had only increased insignificantly. Especially the Italian, they had reached a peak in 1997 and dropped to 50 million in 1999. However, Italian had started to spend more between 1999 and 2005, as in this six-year period, the amount of money they spent had risen constantly.
To sum up, during this ten-year period, Germany remained the highest spending on books in the four countries.
