Overall it can be seen that pasta was the most popular to the people of UK over the whole period of time except only from 1976 to 1983.
Above 400 grams of pasta was consumed by each person in a week before 1976 in this country.At that time the consumption of rice was exactly 350 grams, which was slightly higher that of pasta.In 1976 the consumption of potato was laveled with pasta and crossed the consumption of rice.The consumption of potato reached at it's peak at 1983 with the figure was 420 gram.After three decades people consumed potato only around 250 grams in a week.In 1991 pasta became the highest consumed food at 510 grams while rice intake dropped to about 280 grams. Finally in 2001 pasta intake continued at 510 grams while rice eating per person further dipped and reached nearly at only 200 grams.
