The line chart depicts how much travellers who came from Australia, USA, UK, Japan and China spent when they visited New Zealandevery year from 1996 to 2016. In general, all subjects' expenditure increased, except Japan.
In 1996, Australia visitors spent more than 1000 new zealand dollars on visiting this nation. Moreover, it was on the first place among 5 countries. In the next ten years, the amount of money was twofold compared to that in 1996 before declining slightly to more than 2000 in 2014. China was the country that used the least money in New zealand. Chinese voyagers spent approximately 0 dollar. Then, it had a noticable upward tendency to 500 dollars in the following eight years before going down and climbing up again in a decade later.
USA took the second place in top nations which had the greastest expenditure. At the begining point of the survey, American used nearly 800 dollars and rose dramatically, reaching its peak in 2010 with more than 1500 dollars. Four years later, the figure decreased to about 1000. UK and japan had the similar starting points. Both of these countries' travellers spent about 500 dollars in 1996. After fluctuating for a long period of time, while UK had a significant increase, Japan remained unchanged.
