In general, while the amount of CO2 emission in the United Kingdom and Sweden inclined to decrease, that in Italy and Portugal witnessed upward trends.
As can be observed, while the average emissions in the United Kingdom dropped slightly and then gradually reached the lowest point, it remained the country with the most gas pollutants, at around 9 metric tonnes. Furthermore, despite having experienced a significant rise by 1 metric tonnes, the figure for that in Sweden fell dramatically to the bottom-most point at the end of the period.
