The chart illustrates the different 4 categories of fish and meat consumed by people, namely chicken, beef, lamb, fish over the course of 6 years, starting from 1979 and ending in 2004.
In detail, it is immediately obvious that chicken and beef are the major kinds of food consumed by people in a European country, and fish generated the minimum amount of energy in France. It also can be seen that a downward trend was experienced in beef, lamb, fish with the exception of chicken. Additionally, the three main kinds of food consumed were gone with strong fluctuation and fish only remained steady.
On the other hand, the major source of food: beef, standing at 220 grams. Then, this figure was inclined to move downward until 112 grams was consumed. Not only beef can be seen, but a similar trend was also witnessed in lamb (from 150 grams to 65 grams) and fish (from 65 grams to 41 grams).
On the sharp contrast, chicken is witnessed to experience an acceleration of consumer with time, starting from 147 grams in 1979, then, increased to 247 grams in 2004 although had less consumption than beef in a timescale..
