The line graph illustrates, the changes in wheat exports in Australia, Canada and European countries between 1985 and 1990. Units are measured in million tonnes.
Overall, the most significant growth in wheat exports was in European countries. While, the Australian exports shows a down ward trend among other countries.
The most significant wheat exporters was Canada at the beginning period with approximately 19 million tonnes. Then the export ratio fell down to about 17 million tonnes and dramatically went up to 25 million tonnes in 1988. In the middle of 1989 Canadian wheat export ratio was lower than European community and reached to below 15 million tonnes. However, after one year they surged in to the almost near in beginning period rate.
In the early 1985, wheat export ratio of European community and Australia was nearly 17 and 15 million tonnes respectively. By the middle of 1985 the account of Australian wheat exports was exceeding European community and reached more than 15 million tonnes by 1986. Then there was a gradual decrease in exporting and continued to just over 10 million at the end of the period. Moreover, European community surpass Australian market by the middle of 1987 and rapid progress to above 20 million tonnes in 1990.
