The line graph compares the amount of emission from three separate sources in the UK over the period 1990 t0 2005. It is measured by million tonnes.
Overall, it is clear that air pollutants from Industry and Households decreased during the time shown , which was opposite to Transport. Especially, Industry was the major cause of air pollutants among three sourses.
In 1990 the quantity of emission from Industry was about 5.5, whereas the figures for the others were just under 1. There was an sharp fall in air pollutants released by Industry to 3 in the period 1993-1996. This trend continued to 2005, at 2 million tonnes.
In spite of similar amount of air pollutants in 1990, Trasport then realeased much more emission than Households. The quantity of emission from Transport fluctuated slightly before climbing to 1 by 2005. However, Households saw a gradual drop in the amount of air pollutants in the end of the stage, just approximately 0.2 million tonnes.
