This line graph below provides us information on comparison of four nominal data, residence of overseas students from Kong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore in Australia on an interval scale between 1982 and 2000 years.
It’s clearly seen that the arrival of students from all four countries to Australia increased considerably over the period of 18 years. Indonesia is reported as the most dramatic change among other countries.
In 1982, there were no students from Singapore and Hong Kong and remained a steady trend until 1987, while the amount of students from Malaysia was about 5000 and stayed stable until 1990. However, the proportion of Hong Kong learners fluctuated wildly between 1987 to 2000 years with the number from 0 to 10 000, whereas, the amount of Malaysian and Singaporean had rise to almost 20000 in the same period of years. Although there was a slight fall of both countries, Hong Kong and Malaysia, with approximately 16 000 and 17000, respectively, they had a sudden growth to nearly 20000 students in 2000 year.
By contrast, students from Indonesia started coming in 1983 and it rose significantly over the period of 16 years and reached over 25 000 students. Nonetheless, it suddenly dropped marginally to 21000 students in 1999. Despite the fall, it had a little growth by the end of June in 2000 with around 23 000 students.
