Overall, foreigners coming to the UK were more likely to do business than other two purposes. Furthermore, all figures experienced an upward trend, with some changes.

Initially, the most popular reasons to go abroad to Britain was because of business importance, accounting for 6. 5 million visitors. Moreover, 5 million tourists chose to take holiday in the UK, being higher than 3. 5 million people who met their friends and families. These three figures would increase, but the number of those doing business trips were expected to decrease from the second to the fourth period.
