The line graph compares the numbers of visitors staying on cruise ships and island over the period of seven years, from 2010 to 2017.
It is clear that the number of tourists visiting a Caribbean island increased significantly throughout the 7-year period. While the number of visitors who chose to stay on cruise rose relatively stable, visitors who want to stay on the island in their holiday increased and decreased unpredictably.
In 2010, there was one million visitors who came to the island and around 75% of them stayed on cruise ships. In the next year, there was about 1.25 million visitors while we can see that the number of visitors who chose to stay on island did not change, the figure for cruise ships increased to 0.5 million.
Between 2012 and 2015, we can see that both two types of accommodation increased the number of tourists. By 2015, there are 1.5 million visitors who stayed on island in their vacations to the Caribbean island and 1.25 million visitors chose to experience on ships.
