The graph below shows the percentage change in the number of international students graduating from universities in different Canadian provinces between 2001 and 2006.
The graph illustrates the changing pattern in the proportion of international students graduating in various provinces of Canada from 2001 to 2006.
It can be observed that there were some discrepancies between the proportions of international graduates in 2001 and 2006. The percentages in 2006 clearly dominated the percentages in 2001.
In 2001, new Brunswick had the highest percentage of international graduates, about 7%, tripled the Ontario’s number, with about 2.6%. That of the nova scotia and Quebec were nearly the same at 6.5%, while other provinces were below 6%, which were Alberta, british Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Labrador.
In comparison, in 2006, the figure of new Brunswick soared, approximately 11.8% . In addition, the number of students graduating in nova scotia and british Columbia also levelled out, about 10.5% compared to the Quebec’s number peaked at 8.5%, leaving other provinces below 8%. Alberta was the only region dipped from 6% in 2001 to 4.5% in 2006.
