The diagram depicts information about the audiences who were older than 4 years in the UK and follows Radio and Television during the day and night in 1992.
Overall, it can be seen that there is a large proportion of TV viewers compared to the ones who enjoyed listening to Radio. Audiences for both, Radio and TV shared an equal amount of followers which are 5% and 15% in the early morning at 6 am and in the afternoon at 1 pm, respectively.
Looking closely at the blue graph, it can be observed that around 5% of the people followed the TV at 1 am and the trend remain stable until 10 in the morning. After a slight drop in the viewers, it raised significantly to 15% at 1 pm. Likewise, there was a gradual fall again for the next two hours and after that, followers rapidly raised to a significant majority of 45% in the night at 9 pm. Finally, there was a steep decline by 30% of the viewers at midnight.
On the contrary, the audience of the radio starts the day with a significant minority (3%) and remains steady until 6 in the morning. Then, It sharply roses to a peak of 25% at 7 am and after that, it gradually decreased to 10% at 3 in the afternoon. There was a slight rise in the percentage of the followers at 4 am by 5% and falls for the rest of the day until it becomes 5%.
