The given line graph illustrates the price rate of four different food categories from 1978 to 2009.

It is clear from the information that in the initial year, the price of all categories were remained constant approximately 54, but after eight years the figure of consumer sugar and sweets, consumer index and carbonated drinks still similar at almost 100. What is more, the price of fresh fruits and vegetables was fluctuated till 2003, while the fresh fruits and vegetables price increased gradually from around 260 in 2003 to 340 in 2009.

Turning to remaining information that in 1989, the price of consumer- price index was 115. By 2009, it had climbed gradually to 95. Moreover, the price rate of sugar and sweets followed by nearabout 180 in 2008 and after one year price reached at exact 200. Lastly in 1989, the price of carbonated drinks accounted for nearly 105. By 2009, it had increased slightly to approximately 40.

Overall, the figure of fresh fruits and vegetable was experienced higher price and carbonated drinks shows lower price.
