Overall, we can see that the highest number of tourists visited Paris in 2013. Additionally, from 2011 to 2014, there were many fluctuations noted in number of students travelling to Paris and Rome, in contrast, a steady and slow increase in number of visitors was noted in London.
To begin with, in 2011, Rome experienced highest number of tourists – around 18,000, followed by London and Paris – 15,000 and 10,000 respectively. From 2011 to 2012, the number of tourists visiting Rome fell dramatically to around 12,500, on the other hand, the amount of students travelling to Paris rose significantly to 14,000, slightly above figure in Paris. London noted a slow rise in visitors approximately upto 16,000 by 2012.
From 2013 to 2014, Paris and Rome followed exactly the same trend. Furthermore, by 2013, a drastic increase in visitors was noted in Paris and Rome both – 20,000 and 18,000 respectively which again dropped in 2014. Finally, in 2014, the highest number of visitors stood at around 19,000 in London, while Paris stands on second (around 18,000) and Rome on third (approximately 16,000) position.
