The graph below shows UK acid rain emissions, measured in millions of tonnes, from four different sectors between 1990 and 2007.
The line graph illustrates how many million tonnes acid rain emission had in four kinds over a period of 16 years in UK, namely transport and communication; electric, gas and water supply; domestic and other industries.
In general, what stands out form the graph is that the quality of million tonnes in electric, gas and water supply registered the highest for the first year in 1991. Although some variations, it is clear to see that there were all downward trends in four sectors.
By 2001, the quality of million tonnes in electric, gas and water supply had experienced a significant increase when dropping of 2.25 million tonnes while the figure for other industries fell to 1.25 million tonnes . In the meantime the number of million tonnes in transport and communication, domestic stayed remained, 1.25 and under 0.5 respectively.
In the latter part of chart, until 2007, the figure for other industries was the highest quality, with about 1.25 million tonnes. In the meantime, the amount of million tonnes in electric, gas and water supply and domestic still dropped gently to 1 and under 0.25 corresponding. The figure for transport and communication fluctuated up to 1 and down to more than 0.5 million tonnes in 2007.
