The graph illustrates how much income was gained in 2002 per week by 3 types of graduates (with a degree, postgraduates and with other qualifications), who are also divided in 8 groups by age in a range from 21 to 60 years. Units are measured in pound sterling.

Overall, the earnings of the youngest employees (21-25) are the lowest for all three degrees. The highest wages are received by graduates with other types of qualification in about age of 38. Also, higher degree employees gained the largest income in the oldest category (56-60).

In terms of salaries of graduates with other qualifications and higher degree, they show a stable rise in the group 21-25 from more or less £400, but after around 32 postgraduate employees’ salary growth is less dramatic. While wage of other-qualification-graduates' hit its peak at the age 36-40, income of higher degree workers reaches one of the highest points at 41-45 (slightly above £800 and approximately £750 respectively). Exact same earnings are achieved by these two groups in somewhere between ages 46-55. Thus, income of others continues to dip stably, but salary of postgraduates goes upwards dramatically, reaching its apex marginally under £800.

On the other hand, fist degree graduates earn the lowest amount of money around £350 in the youngest group. After growing gradually, their salary hit the highest point depicted as a plateau just under £700 in ages approximately 37-43. Then it goes down and shows rising tendency from extremely under £700 until the end.
