The line graph illustrates the costs of 4 different types of bread in Europe from 2001 to 2005.
Overall, it is clear that the price of brown bread and wholemeal bread was remain steady however their was the growth of the costs of white and rye bread.
In 2001, white bread had the lowest price among 4 different types, at just 0.1 euros while rye bread was sold at 0.6 euros. The price of white bread upsurged to a peak price of 1.2 euros however the price of white bread crashed dramatically to 0.7 euros in 2003. There was a oscillations of the white bread cost between 0.7 and 0.5 euros until 2005. In 2003 the rye bread price felt to 0.8 euros but it recovered and reached a peak of 1 euros and became the most expensive type of bread over the period.
The price of brown and wholemeal bread showed the similar trend, at around 0.5 euros in the first year of period. The cost of brown bread fluctuate and reach about 0.6 euros by the end of period. There was insignificant change in the retail price of the wholemeal bread which was remain 0.5 euros in 2005.
