According to the chart, 26% of passenger cars in 2015 were produced by Greater China which held the first position in the world. Europe ranked second with just 1% less than Greater China. Also, the next two ranks are dedicated to North America and Japan/Korea with 19% and 16% respectively, which together produced about one third of cars worldwide.
On the other hand, in terms of the least manufacturers, South Africa accounted for 8%, followed by 4% for South America and just 2% for Africa/Middle East, which made up the smallest proportions of car manufacturing of the world.
