Traditional methods of shopping have been replaced with online shopping in many parts of world. This trend has its own pros and cons. However, in my conviction its positive sides outweigh negative ones.
I think the most noticeable advantage of online shopping is more variety of goods. It provides access to a wider range of products and the possibility to compare them thoroughly, So that the process of choosing will be facilitated. For example, in case of buying electronic devices or appliances such as mobile or cameras, online shop sites usually have sections for comparing the main features of your selective devices in a table. That gives you a comprehensive view about them and helps you to choose the best product which meets your demand and your budget. As opposed to online shopping, there are limited products in one store and perhaps you need to go to several stores to find your intended stuff which could be a waste of time. Also it would be hard to see and compare side by side the products from different stores.
When it comes to online shopping drawbacks, the most important thing that comes to my mind is discrepancies between the products' images on the internet and the real ones. This might be because of either deliberate deceptive edits on products' images by sellers or difficulties in recognizing real features remotely. For instance, when you want to buy cloths, you need to wear them for choosing the right size and touch them to realize the fabric material. Also, it happens for finding the right shade of cosmetics or choosing perfumes which is impossible to realize their scent without smelling. Therefore, it is probable to buy things that you have unreal and delusive imagination about them through their pictures on the online shop sites which would make you desperate after receiving.
In conclusion, I agree that online shopping is becoming more common day to day and I think despite having some downsides, it could be beneficial in numerous ways.
