The graphs below show the Expenditure on Heath & Education, UAE as percentage of GDP and Infant mortality and life expectancy.
The graphs elucidate the percentage of GDP spend on health and education in UAE from 1985 to 1993 also shows the infant mortality and life expectancy of this country from 1970 to 1992.
As it is observed from the first graph, UAE spent 10% on education and about 8% on education of their GDP. After 5 years, the GDP support on health decreased to about 7% whereas the GDP support on education increased by 4%. Finally in 1993, the percentages on both sectors increased; 10% for health and around 15% for education. This indicated that UAE government decided to spend more of GDP on both sectors but little bit more money provided to education than health.
In the second graph, the life expectancy in UAE was 60 years in 1970, while infant mortality was 70 per thousand. After 22 years, both of these improved. The age for the life expectancy rose by 10 years whereas 20 per thousand were recorded for the infant mortality rate.
It is apparent that, GDP expenditure on sectors increased over the period as a result, the life expectancy increased and infant mortality decreased.
