The three pie charts demonstrate the information regarding the age and gender of players of the electronic games, and the list of the best-selling games in south Korea based on the year 2003.
Generally, it can be clearly seen from those charts that most of the players are male, whose aged from 18 to 35, and action is the best-seller electronic games with 42%.
In particular, among six divided best-selling electronic games categories, action accounted for the most, sports games were in the second position with 21% while racing games placed at the third with 17%. With role-play and education, there are 7% of each figure that were sold in 2003, and others category made up only 6% in total.
there is a huge different in the gender distribution. A tremendous percentage of south Korean male were recorded to play electronic games in 2003 which comprised 72% whereas girls only took up 28%.
The age of the players was divided into three age groups. Teenagers and young adults were two entities that played electronic games the most with 42% of players from 18 to 35 years old. players who did not reach 18 years old yet constituted 35%, and the rest are players aged over 35.
